Lorac Lip Gloss Set

This is such a fabulous find! I was shopping at Ulta the other day and came across this Lorac lip gloss set. All six full size lip glosses for only $25!! I had to get it! I absolutely fell in love with every single color in this set. They all have a yummy smelling frangrance to them also.  I was really pleased with the red color gloss. It goes on so shiny and has a lot of pigment to it. I normally can’t wear red lipsticks very well but this is a prefect red that isn’t to harsh. All the different shades of pink are fabulous as well. This would be a great gift for any girl on your list, but don’t forget to pick it up for yourself!

Todays Workout- Full Body and Treadmill Intervals

Today was my day off from work and it was overcast and raining all day. I didn’t have too much going on so I decided on a longer than normal workout. I started with an hour of sprint walk intervals on the treadmill. An hour normally feels like a lot on the treadmill, but not while you are keeping up with time while you are doing an interval workout. As soon as I finished that, I started my weight workout. I worked out my whole body again today but I mixed it up by working out each body part with a different excercise than the last workout. I finished up with some abs as well.

Banana Bread

This is a dangerous time of year, with all the goodies that are about to be baked, the parties, and potlucks! I haven’t baked in a while and finally broke down and decided to get into the kitchen. I thought that banana bread was appropriate for this cooler fall weather. There is nothing better than a warm sweet bread that you don’t have to feel guilty about eating. 🙂

Banana Bread

(approx. 192 cals per serving)

Ingredients

4 ripe bananas mashed

2 eggs beaten

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup applesauce

2 cups flour

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

1/8 tsp ground nutmeg

1/4 cup chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 340. In a large bowl combine eggs, bananas, sugar, and applesauce. Then add the rest of the ingredients except the walnuts. Once all the ingredients are combined stir in the nuts. Pour batter into a greased loaf pan. Bake for 60mins.

Todays Workout- Full Body with Treadmill Intervals

I was surprised at how easy it was waking up this morning after a late night watching the election. I think with it being lighter outside in the morning makes all the difference. I choose to workout my whole body today with weights. I am already feeling sore. It took me about 30 minutes to get finished with the weights. Afterward, I started my cardio workout. I chose intervals today to keep myself from getting bored. I did 30 minutes on the treadmill and realised I was going to be running late if I did anymore.

It is amazing how much exercise helps with my stress and anxiety. It is always a great start to the day.

Cabo San Lucas Vacation

Three years ago we honeymoooned in Cabo San Lucas and fell in love with it. Over the past couple years we have been trying to plan to go back. We finally took a trip back to Cabo 2 weeks ago. We had such a blast and enjoyed all of the relaxing!

You really can’t get into the ocean because the waves are so strong and there is a strong undertow.

This is an entrance to a restaurant called The Office. The tables were right on the beach. It was so neat! Great food too!

This is my absolute favorite meal ever! I had this 3 years ago on our honeymoon and have been craving it ever since! It is a shrimp and crab chimichanga. yum!!

I had to get my daily run in if I was going to eat and drink the way I was! Every morning we got up and worked out before heading to the pool.

This was the view during my runs. Way better than at home. 🙂

And of course the sunset… it was so beautiful!

Now that I am home it is back to the grind! I have to admit, I am loving getting back in the gym!

Black Bean and Edamame Salad

A few weeks ago I made a Edamame Corn Salad that was fabulous! Since then I found this delicious recipe in a Clean Eating Magazine. I think my husband and I actually like this recipe better because of the mozzerella cheese. Who dosen’t love cheese?!

Black Bean and Edamame Salad

(approx. 192 per serving)

Ingredients

  • 1 can of black beans rinsed
  • 1 cup grape tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup shelled edamame
  • 2 oz fresh mozzerella cut in cubes
  • 1/3 cup diced red onion

Dressing

  • 1 1/2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper

In a medium bowl combine all ingredients. In a seperate bowl combine all the dressing ingredients and whisk well. Drizzile over the bean mixture and toss to combine.

Todays Workout- Legs and Treadmill Intervals

Oh how good it felt to get to the gym this morning. Blake and I took a week-long vacation to Cabo San Lucas. We had a blast! It always feels great to get back home and get back into the swing of things. Besides the fact that it is sooo dark in the morning AND it was 40 degrees when I left the house, it seemed super easy to get motivated to get to the gym. I started my workout this morning with the 45 minutes of intervals on the treadmill to keep me from getting bored. Once I was finished with cardio I choose to do the Leg Workout.

 

Once I got home and started thinking about breakfast, I opened the fridge and found the new greek yogurt I saw at the grocery store this past weekend. Only a 100 calories of pure yum factor! I was totally satisfied and it had the little bit of sweetness from the peaches in it. Oh and it has 10g of protein! A great way to start the day!
